My Mission Statement

“Empowering individuals to embrace and prepare for the natural process of death by fostering open conversations and providing resources, thereby promoting greater comfort and understanding around this universal life transition.”

About Me

Marlene Morrow

My name is Marlene Morrow, but everyone calls me Mar.  I live in a small town just east of Ottawa, Ontario.

As an End-of-life Doula my mission is to empower individuals facing life-limiting illnesses to envision and plan for the future that aligns with their values and desires. I believe that by helping people live well, we can also help them die well. My passion lies in educating and assisting individuals in feeling comfortable discussing and being present during the process of death and dying. I strive to normalize these important conversations, believing that embracing the inevitability of death can enhance the quality of our lives and bring us peace.

Drawing from my background as a Child and Youth counselor, my work in the school system, and working on a children’s Mental Health ward, I have supported children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities as well as their families.  My experience includes providing respite care, managing a day program, and operating a group home.

I am dedicated to walking alongside individuals on their end- of-life journey, integrating compassion, education, and support every step of the way. By fostering open conversation, providing holistic care, and drawing from my diverse background in caregiving, I strive to empower others to embrace the natural cycle of life and find comfort and dignity in their final chapter.

As an End-of-life Doula, I am honored to be a companion and advocate, guiding individuals towards a peaceful and meaningful transition.
